Our History

MS Reporters originated under the name of Certi-Comp Court Reporters, Inc., a corporation established in Mississippi in 1979 by Dale Milford, the first machine writer to grace the state of Mississippi.

In 1989 the business was bought out by Melissa Magee (then Melissa Burnham), who at that time had trained under Ms. Milford for a number of years. The business has continued to thrive in Jackson, Mississippi under the name of Certi-Comp Court Reporters until this year when it underwent a name change. Welcome to MS Reporters, your full-service reporting agency, with reporters located across the state of Mississippi.

MS Reporters offers you a well-trained support staff to assist in scheduling your jobs, confirming your jobs, tracking your transcripts, setting up videographers for you, arranging for conference rooms for depositions, as well as an array of other services. In addition to the excellent support staff, all reporters on staff hold a degree in either business administration or court reporting and are state and nationally certified, passing tests in excess of 240 words per minute.
